Wolfsburg Targets Three Hertha BSC Players

VfL Wolfsburg are reportedly looking at three players from Hertha BSC as they assemble their squad for next season.

The targets are Fabian Reese (28), Linus Gechter (22) and Tjark Ernst (23), in positions left winger, centre-back and goalkeeper respectively, with the trio identified as potential additions in the summer transfer window.

In parallel, the club has developed a worst-case financial plan in the event of relegation, with potential sales of players including Mohamed Amoura, Kamil Grabara, Konstantinos Koulierakis, Lovro Majer, Mattias Svanberg and Patrick Wimmer, to raise at least €100 million for transfer spending.

All three Hertha players would fit within that total, with a combined valuation of about €12.5 million: Reese valued at €5 million, Ernst at €4 million, and Gechter at €3.5 million. Each is contracted through at least 2027, with Reese under contract to 2030.

Season figures show Reese with 10 goals and four assists in 28 matches in the 2. Bundesliga this season; Gechter has started 26 matches with no goals or assists; Ernst has played 28 matches, with 35 goals conceded and 11 clean sheets.
