Germany will continue their Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign away in Austria, with the match taking place at the BWT Upper Austrian Arena on Saturday. They aim to preserve a perfect record in the 2027 qualifiers after a 5-1 win in the previous meeting last Tuesday.
Guila Gwinn, the Germany captain, was forced off with an injury in the first half of the last game. Austria’s Chiara Anna D'Angelo scored the hosts’ lone goal, and Ann-Katrin Berger conceded her first goal of the qualifying campaign.
Vivien Endemann, who will move to a top-flight English club at the end of the season, has scored in every group match. Jule Brand, Lea Schüller, and Elisa Senß are also among the group’s goalscorers so far in qualifying.
Germany’s 14 goals across three matches is the highest tally in League A qualifiers. Slovenia will host second-placed Norway in Ptuj in the other group game.
