Bayern secured their seventh Frauen-Bundesliga title on Wednesday, matching the record held by Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The team were crowned champions for the fourth consecutive season after a 3-2 win against Union Berlin at Alten Försterei, with Germany captain Guila Gwinn scoring the winner after coming on as a late substitute.
Wolfsburg drew goalless away at Werder Bremen, with both teams finishing the match with ten players. Bayern's seventh league title reflects the club’s status at the top of the women's top flight since the competition began in 1990/91.
Eintracht Frankfurt were the first club to win the championship seven times, all titles earned before the club rebranded from 1. FFC Frankfurt in 2020. Wolfsburg, who last won in 2022, are also tied at seven.
There are four league games remaining for José Barcala's side, who will face Wolfsburg in the cup final next month. Before that, Bayern will host Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Allianz Arena on Saturday.
