Eintracht Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller has indicated that defender Tuta is uncertain to participate in the team's first match of 2025 against FC St. Pauli.
Tuta, 25, was absent from a recent friendly match where Frankfurt suffered a 3-1 defeat to Mainz due to a calf injury and has been undergoing individual training sessions.
The decision on his fitness for the upcoming match against St. Pauli remains pending. "We'll have to see if he's fit enough for Saturday and if it makes sense to bring him back straight away without a lot of training," Toppmöller stated.
He further explained that this situation involves a risk assessment, considering the busy schedule with multiple games in the following weeks. Toppmöller noted that Tuta may return to team training later this week.
The injury has previously sidelined Tuta for Eintracht's last two matches of 2024.
