Hamburger SV is exploring options to make Fabio Vieira's loan from Arsenal permanent, aiming to overcome the high purchase option in the deal.
Vieira has made a notable impact with four goals and five assists in 20 appearances across all competitions since his summer loan move.
HSV plans to hold discussions with Vieira and his agency, Gestifute, by April to determine the next steps for a potential permanent transfer.
Vieira reportedly does not want to return to England, having struggled to establish himself after a €35 million move from Porto in 2023, which could benefit HSV’s efforts.
However, the €20 million purchase option poses a hurdle, and HSV may attempt to negotiate a lower fee, potentially around €10-12 million, though Arsenal’s acceptance of a reduced price remains uncertain.
