Reports indicate that Jamal Musiala is poised to sign the largest contract in Bayern Munich's history.
According to Sport Bild, Musiala is expected to earn over €20 million annually, similar to previous contracts signed by Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski. However, Musiala's contract is anticipated to span five years, bringing the total value of the deal to more than €100 million.
Musiala and his representatives have expressed a willingness to extend the contract beyond its current expiration in 2026. Nevertheless, a significant issue remains unresolved regarding his salary, as Sport Bild notes that "a first financial offer has yet to be made."
Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl commented on the ongoing discussions, stating, "We are talking very intensively, well, a lot." He also mentioned his hope to finalize a new contract for Musiala, saying, "I'd like to put it (a new contract for Musiala) under everyone's Christmas tree, but I can't promise that today."
Musiala joined Bayern Munich from Chelsea in 2019 and has since made 181 first-team appearances, scoring 53 goals and providing 35 assists.
