Arsenal are on the verge of securing the signing of Viktor Gyokeres, the striker from Sporting Lisbon, as per reports from the Portuguese outlet Leonino. The Gunners are aiming to bring in a prominent center-forward this summer and have identified Gyokeres as one of their primary targets. Leonino has reported that the club has reached an agreement on personal terms with the 26-year-old and the transfer is nearing completion. However, the financial aspects are currently causing a delay, but there is optimism on Arsenal's side that the transfer will be finalized soon. Gyokeres moved to Sporting from Coventry City last year and had an outstanding debut season, scoring 43 goals and providing 15 assists. Having been the top striker across Europe's top seven leagues, he now has the opportunity to showcase his abilities in England. Previously with Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, Gyokeres is now a prolific goal scorer and would be eager to make an impact with Arsenal if he were to join the club.
