Fenerbahce have opened talks to sign Man Utd defender

Fenerbahce have initiated discussions with Manchester United regarding the potential transfer of Victor Lindelof this summer. The Swedish player has been functioning as a substitute center-back for the Red Devils, but there is a possibility of him being sold in the upcoming weeks. His current contract is set to expire at the end of next season and as of now, the club has not engaged in negotiations for a possible extension. Reports indicate that Fenerbahce has approached United about the potential transfer of the former Benfica player. Lindelof was brought to United by manager Jose Mourinho in 2017, who is currently the head coach at Fenerbahce. It's been suggested that Mourinho has recommended the acquisition of Lindelof, but United is unlikely to let him leave at a low price this summer. United values him at approximately €15m and they are hesitant to accept anything less for the experienced center-back. Although Lindelof is reportedly content staying at United, he would be open to regular first-team football opportunities elsewhere.
