Serhou Guirassy, who has scored only once in his last eight competitive matches, continues to receive strong support from Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac.
Guirassy had a remarkable start to his season but has faced challenges recently. Despite his current scoring drought, Kovac remains confident in the striker's ability to recover his form.
“I know that many are watching him as a striker. But I also know how important he is to us. We are missing his goals at the moment. But he will get back there. I’m glad to have him and I will stick with him,” Kovac stated in an interview.
Kovac emphasized Guirassy's commitment and the importance of trust from the coach during difficult times, recalling similar situations with strikers at his previous clubs.
Additionally, Kovac expressed relief that Guirassy chose to remain in Dortmund during the international break, allowing him to focus on training after previously missing sessions due to injuries.
Looking ahead, Kovac, Guirassy, and the rest of the Dortmund team are preparing for their upcoming Bundesliga match against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.
