In an interview with Canal+ Sport Afrique, agent Diomansy Camara discussed the transfer of Nicolas Jackson to Bayern Munich, reflecting on comments made by Uli Hoeneß regarding the player's potential playing time.
Camara characterized the transfer as a "battle of egos" between the two clubs, noting that the deal initially began as a loan without obligation. He emphasized that the intention was to avoid returning to Chelsea, leading to an eventual agreement between the clubs.
He acknowledged Hoeneß's remarks about the complexities of the situation, particularly concerning the upcoming African Cup of Nations. Camara stated, "Nico's goal isn't to play 40 matches. The most important thing is to establish himself at Bayern and progress."
Additionally, Camara revealed that Bayern coach Vincent Kompany had been aware of Jackson since his time at Anderlecht and understood the type of player he was acquiring. He mentioned that Kompany reassured Jackson about the expectations, highlighting the presence of experienced striker Harry Kane as a valuable resource for development.
Camara also noted that the loan deal is among the most expensive in history, exceeding €16 million. He expressed confidence in Jackson's potential, suggesting that if the player performs well, it could lead to a long-term arrangement with Bayern Munich.
