Bundesliga Players to Consider for UCL Fantasy Selection

The 2025/26 edition of the UEFA Champions League is set to return, prompting a review of in-form players from the Bundesliga who could provide an advantage in fantasy leagues. The article ranks the teams based on perceived fixture difficulty, with those facing more favorable opponents listed first.

Bayern Munich

Manuel Neuer (€6m) continues as the top goalkeeper for Bayern Munich, boasting a strong penalty-stopping record and two clean sheets in three Bundesliga matches this season. However, his price may be considered high, especially with Chelsea as their opening opponents.

In defense, Dayot Upamecano is highlighted as a key player at €5m, while Josip Stanisic offers a cheaper option at €4.5m, though his position may be challenged by the return of Alphonso Davies.

With Jamal Musiala injured, Michael Olise (€8m) stands out in midfield with three goals and an assist in three Bundesliga games. Joshua Kimmich (€6m) offers a cost-effective midfield option, while Serge Gnabry (€6.5m) has also performed well with two goals and two assists.

Harry Kane (€10.5m) is noted for his impressive record, contributing 86 points from 11 goals and two assists in last season’s Fantasy UCL, and has already scored five goals and provided three assists in the current Bundesliga season.

Borussia Dortmund

Gregor Kobel is recognized as a key player for Dortmund at a price of €5m, having finished fourth in the UCL Fantasy goalkeeper rankings. The team is expected to have favorable fixtures, making him a reliable option.

With Nico Schlotterbeck injured, Waldermar Anton offers a budget-friendly defensive option at €4m, while other attack-minded defenders include Daniel Svensson (€4.5m) and Yan Couto (€4m).

Midfield options are limited, but Karim Adeyemi (€7m) could be valuable, having performed well in previous European competitions. Serhou Guirassy (€8m) remains a standout forward, already scoring four goals in three Bundesliga matches.

Bayer Leverkusen

Mark Flekken is now the first-choice goalkeeper for Leverkusen at €5m, with the team's fixtures offering mixed challenges. Alejandro Grimaldo (€6m) is highlighted for his contributions in defense, while Edmond Tapsoba and Jarell Quansah (€4.5m each) provide cheaper alternatives.

Malik Tillman (€6.5m) steps into the midfield role vacated by Florian Wirtz, demonstrating an attacking threat from his previous season at PSV Eindhoven. Patrik Schick (€7m) is noted for his scoring ability, having netted three goals in his first three games this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt

Frankfurt is making its Champions League return against Galatasaray. Michael Zetterer (€4m) is suggested as a budget goalkeeper after taking over from Kevin Trapp and averaging 3.4 saves per match in the Bundesliga.

Captain Robin Koch (€4.5m) is crucial in defense, while wing-back Rasmus Kristensen (€4.5m) is noted for his attacking potential and ball recovery capabilities, despite a challenging schedule in Europe.

Midfield options include Ritsu Dōan (€5.5m) and Can Uzun (€5m), both of whom have made strong starts to the season. Jonathan Burkardt (€5m) leads the attack but has yet to find form at Frankfurt, with Michy Batshuayi (€6.5m) and Elye Wahi (€5.5m) also facing tough defenses ahead.
