In the aftermath of TSG Hoffenheim's 4-2 victory against 1.FC Union Berlin, striker Fisnik Asllani expressed his elation regarding the win.
Asllani remarked, “It fills me with pride to win in Berlin. It's very difficult; other teams have stumbled here. I'm happy we were able to win the game. We took on the fight and deserved to win.”
He noted the significance of the match, stating, “It's also my hometown: scoring two goals here is very nice. My family was in the stadium, as were my friends, even a few former teachers. I had goosebumps when I walked in.”
Reflecting on his performance, Asllani highlighted the importance of teamwork, saying, “Playing in this stadium and scoring two goals is a fantastic thing. It was a very successful day. But a striker also depends on his teammates, and I did a good job of putting the ball away today.”
The 23-year-old, who previously played for Union Berlin at the youth academy level, concluded by expressing optimism for the team's future, stating, “I think if we continue like we did today, we can achieve a lot.”
