The draw for this season’s DFB Pokal semi-finals has been announced.
Favorites Bayer Leverkusen will play away against third-tier club Arminia Bielefeld in the semi-finals. In another match, RB Leipzig's coach Marco Rose faces a challenging away game against VfB Stuttgart, as Sebastian Hoeneß’s team secures another home tie.
Arminia Bielefeld, currently in fifth place in the 3. Liga, has made history by eliminating three Bundesliga teams on their way to the semi-finals. Young player Mitch Knait, who is younger than Xabi Alonso, aims to help Bielefeld reach their first Pokal final.
RB Leipzig, recent two-time champions, have had difficulties at MHP-Arena, having lost in both of their previous visits. VfB Stuttgart last won the cup in the 1996-97 season, featuring players such as Krasimir Balakov, Fredi Bobic, and Giovane Élber.
