Bayer Leverkusen in Talks to Sign 16-Year-Old Hertha Prospect

Leverkusen is showing strong interest in Kennet Eichhorn, a highly sought-after youth talent from Hertha BSC.

Recent reports indicate that Leverkusen’s sporting managing director Simon Rolfes and director of professional football Kim Falkenberg traveled to Berlin for discussions with Eichhorn’s representatives last week.

If a move is agreed, the club reportedly plans to loan the teenager out for the 2026/27 season, potentially back to Hertha BSC.

Eichhorn, a 16-year-old German international, is believed to be available with a release clause of around €12 million, and several top European clubs including Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, FC Barcelona, and Manchester United are also linked as suitors.
