Victor Boniface could potentially feature again this season after recovering from knee surgery in January, despite initial expectations of an extended absence.
The Nigerian forward, on loan to Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen until the summer, is set to begin individual training soon and may rejoin team sessions if his rehabilitation goes to plan. A positive trajectory could see him return to action before the end of April.
Before his injury, Boniface had made 11 appearances for Werder Bremen without scoring a goal.
