Bayern Munich Reaches Personal Agreement with Candidate to Replace Neuer

Bayern München has reportedly agreed on personal terms with FC Köln goalkeeper Jonas Urbig, who is being considered as a potential successor to Manuel Neuer.

According to sources, Bayern has intensified their interest in the 21-year-old Urbig, with negotiations currently underway with FC Köln.

The club is eager to secure Urbig's services this month due to expected absences in their goalkeeping lineup, as Daniel Peretz is anticipated to be sidelined for several weeks due to kidney issues.

Initial reports indicate that Köln has rejected Bayern's first offer, and a second proposal worth approximately €8 million is being prepared.

Media speculation suggests that Bayern views the Germany Under-21 international as a long-term replacement for Neuer, who is close to finalizing a one-year contract extension until 2026, at which point retirement may be considered.

Urbig is currently under contract with FC Köln until 2026.
