Rieder Seeks Permanent Transfer to Stuttgart

Fabian Rieder, the Switzerland international, has expressed his desire for VfB Stuttgart to make his loan move from Stade Rennes permanent.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder joined Stuttgart on a season-long loan last summer. In an interview with a Swiss newspaper, Rieder indicated that he feels the club aligns with his style of play and has shown interest in retaining him long-term.

"I decided to go on loan to a club that suits me and my style of play, and where I have the feeling that they want to keep me for the long term," Rieder stated.

Stuttgart reportedly holds a purchase option for Rieder valued at approximately €10 million. He acknowledged that it is his responsibility to demonstrate his worth to the club.

"At the end of the day, it's also up to me to push myself to make it happen. The goal is to stay in the Bundesliga and stay with Stuttgart," Rieder added.

This season, Rieder has had a mixed presence in the Stuttgart starting line-up, featuring in 21 matches across all competitions, where he has scored one goal and provided three assists.
