Defending champions Bayer Leverkusen continued their strong performance with a fifth consecutive win, while bottom teams VfL Bochum and Holstein Kiel both suffered defeats.
A brace from Jamal Musiala enabled FC Bayern München to make a significant statement in their match against 1. FC Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena.
