Musiala Sparks FCB Response in 15:30 Kickoffs; Frankfurt Settles for Draw, Bayer Continues Winning Streak

German record champions FC Bayern München have established a six-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table following their victory in the Saturday 15:30 kickoff, while second-placed Eintracht Frankfurt managed only a draw in their match.

Defending champions Bayer Leverkusen continued their strong performance with a fifth consecutive win, while bottom teams VfL Bochum and Holstein Kiel both suffered defeats.

A brace from Jamal Musiala enabled FC Bayern München to make a significant statement in their match against 1. FC Heidenheim at the Allianz Arena. Despite Heidenheim scoring two goals, Bayern's victory marked an important moment in maintaining their lead, especially as Frankfurt drew against Augsburg in a concurrent match.

Coach Vincent Kompany made four expected changes to the lineup that faced Leverkusen, with Aleksandar Pavlovic and Sacha Boey returning to the starting eleven. Thomas Müller led the attack, while Musiala was initially benched. Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz made his league debut in place of the injured Manuel Neuer.

Heidenheim's coach Frank Schmidt also implemented four changes, opting for a 3-5-2 formation. The match began with Bayern dominating possession and creating several chances, culminating in Dayot Upamecano's goal from a corner in the 18th minute, giving Bayern a 1-0 lead.

The first half saw Bayern maintain control, despite only leading 1-0 at halftime with 86 percent possession. After the break, an error from Upamecano allowed Heidenheim's Mathias Honsak to equalize in the 50th minute.

Bayern quickly regained the lead, with Musiala scoring in the 56th minute after a swift run into the box. Leon Goretzka added a third goal in the 84th, but Heidenheim responded almost immediately with a goal from Niklas Dorsch. Musiala sealed the match with a fourth goal in injury time, ending the game at 4-2.

In other Bundesliga matches, Eintracht Frankfurt struggled against Augsburg, managing to take the lead but ultimately settling for a draw after two errors from goalkeeper Kevin Trapp allowed Augsburg to score twice.

Leverkusen secured a commanding win against St. Pauli, with goals from Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Tah, despite a late goal from St. Pauli's Morgan Guilavogui.

VfL Bochum's poor performance continued as they lost to Werder Bremen, remaining winless in their last 15 league matches. The match concluded with Bremen scoring a goal through Jens Stage.

RB Leipzig defeated Holstein Kiel with goals from Benjamin Sesko and Andre Silva, the latter coming from a controversial penalty decision.
