Vincent Kompany expressed satisfaction with his FC Bayern team's "dominant" performance following their 5-1 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich managed to recover from an early setback to secure a decisive win. After the match, coach Kompany noted his contentment with the team's response to conceding an early goal.
"We stayed calm after the early goal. We were better in the first half, even if it wasn't our best half," Kompany stated in an interview. He emphasized that the team grew stronger as the match progressed, highlighting the overall solid performance and dominance in terms of chances created.
While acknowledging Shakhtar's opening goal, Kompany preferred to focus on his team's achievements, stating, "I'm not talking about the one move they made when we scored five goals. I just want to say to my team that it was good. But of course there's always room for improvement."
