RB Leipzig intends to retain Marco Rose as head coach despite the team's inconsistent performance and recent exit from the Champions League, as reported by Bild.
Following a recent improvement in form, RB Leipzig suffered a 2-3 defeat to Aston Villa, resulting in their elimination from the Champions League. This defeat marked Leipzig's sixth loss in six Champions League matches this season.
The loss has reignited discussions regarding Marco Rose's future with the club. Nevertheless, Bild indicates that the defeat has not altered Leipzig's decision to keep Rose in his position beyond the calendar year, as he is expected to lead the team into the second half of the season.
Should Rose's position come under review later in the season, potential successors include Roger Schmidt and Erik ten Hag.
Marco Rose has been at the helm of RB Leipzig since September 2022, with a contract that extends until the summer of 2026.
