SC Freiburg has announced a contract extension for experienced midfielder Nicolas Höfler.

Freiburg CEO Jochen Saier expressed his satisfaction with the extension, stating, "'Chicco' and Sport-Club - this is an extraordinary relationship in many respects. The 34-year-old Höfler, who joined Freiburg's academy at the age of 15, remarked on his long association with the club, saying, “SC Freiburg has been my sporting home for almost 20 years - and yet I'm not looking back, I'm looking forward. I really want to make a difference here with the boys and achieve our goals. I will do everything I can to achieve that and I am delighted with this contract extension.”
