RB Leipzig delivered a dominant 5-0 victory over TSG Hoffenheim at the Red Bull Arena, with a blistering first half contributing to the emphatic result. Christoph Baumgartner and Brajan Gruda each scored twice, while Benjamin Henrichs added a late goal on his return from injury to seal the rout.

Head coach Ole Werner praised the team’s approach and efficiency, noting a top-team performance in the opening stages and several outstanding individual displays, while acknowledging that such scorelines are not guaranteed every week.

Werner stressed the importance of consistency for teams pursuing a Champions League spot, urging continued focus and meticulous preparation for every task in training as the season progresses.

The coach highlighted Brajan Gruda’s development, emphasizing the expectation for the young forward to consistently create scoring chances and replicate his recent contributions.

There was also recognition for Benjamin Henrichs, whose return from injury was celebrated as a meaningful boost for both him and the team, reflecting his importance on and off the pitch.

With the international break approaching, Leipzig will regroup before a trip to Werder Bremen, aiming to carry the victory’s momentum into the final stretch of the season.
