Borussia Dortmund are close to extending Nico Schlotterbeck's contract, with negotiations progressing toward a final agreement.
According to Bild, the key terms of the new deal, including contract length, salary, and an exit clause, have been agreed upon.
If finalized, the extension would extend Schlotterbeck's contract from 2027 to 2031, with his annual earnings potentially reaching up to €14 million, including bonuses, and a release clause of €60 million to become effective from 2027 onwards.
New Dortmund sporting director Nils-Ole Book is awaiting Schlotterbeck’s final commitment, with plans to announce the contract completion in early April.
