Bayern Munich has announced the signing of 16-year-old Matteo Maric from RB Salzburg. The midfielder will join the club’s academy, the FC Bayern Campus, this summer after signing a long-term contract with the German champions.
The club stated that Maric has been monitored over an extended period and is considered one of the most promising talents in Austria for his age group. He will begin the transition to the Campus as part of his development with the academy.
Maric previously played for RB Salzburg’s U18 team and has earned four caps for Austria’s U17 national team.
