Polanski Expected to Remain Gladbach Coach Despite Poor Form

Rouven Schröder has reaffirmed his support for Eugen Polanski to remain as head coach despite another disappointing result over the weekend. Borussia Mönchengladbach’s winless run extended to seven games after a 2-1 defeat away to SC Freiburg.

With Gladbach now just two points above the relegation zone, pressure is mounting on the team and on head coach Eugen Polanski, but Schröder said his job appears safe for now. “He has our full trust,” Schröder stated, emphasizing that Polanski will prepare the team for the upcoming match against Union Berlin and that action would only be taken if there were no belief in him.

Schröder added that responsibility lies with the entire team, particularly the players, to implement plans effectively, noting that professional sport requires balancing scrutiny with trust rather than punitive measures.

Polanski took over from Gerardo Seoane in September and was given the job permanently in November.
