Two teams played to a 2-2 draw in a Bundesliga match at the Red Bull Arena, with Brajan Gruda scoring a late equalizer for the home side after Wolfsburg twice led through goals from Mohamed Amoura and Mattias Svanberg.
The match featured early chances for both sides, including a near-miss for Christian Eriksen and a sharp overhead kick from Conrad Harder that required a reflex save. An injury to the home goalkeeper led Maarten Vandevoordt to come on, but play remained flowing and Gruda was a constant threat for Leipzig.
Gruda created the clearest early chance for Leipzig before the break, but Kamil Grabara saved his effort. After the restart, Leipzig continued pressing, but Grabara produced more notable stops as the hosts sought the opener.
Wolfsburg opened the scoring in the 52nd minute when Mohamed Amoura finished off a move from the right after a combination with Adam Daghim. Leipzig equalized 20 minutes from the end when Gruda converted a rebound from a clearance that dropped to him, setting up a high-scoring finish.
Wolfsburg regained the lead moments later as Mattias Svanberg converted a through ball from Jeanuël Belocian, finishing coolly past Vandevoordt. The home side found another equalizer in stoppage time when Gruda curled in a shot after a partially cleared cross, making it 2-2 with seven minutes of added time remaining.
Leipzig pressed for a late winner, but Rômulo squandered a golden chance at the back post, sealing a 2-2 draw. The result left Leipzig in fifth place, unable to jump Stuttgart, while Wolfsburg remained 15th, with their relegation concerns eased but not resolved.
