Borussia Dortmund has criticized Atalanta Bergamo for restricting ticket sales to non-German fans for the upcoming Champions League play-off second leg in Bergamo, and has also raised concerns with UEFA.
Atalanta notified Dortmund after ticket sales concluded that safety regulations would prevent certain Dortmund supporters from purchasing tickets and entering the stadium for the away match.
Dortmund issued a statement condemning the decision as discriminatory and incompatible with the club’s values and international football principles, and said it is engaging in discussions with Atalanta and UEFA to find a resolution in the near term.
