The 20-year-old German defender Tim Drexler is set to join the Austrian Bundesliga giants before the winter transfer window closes. His loan at Nürnberg has been terminated after a verbal agreement between Hoffenheim and the Austrian club.
The final details are expected to be completed today, with the transfer being permanent and valued at up to €2 million in total package.
Drexler is slated to sign a long-term contract with the Salzburg squad.
In this season’s 2. Bundesliga campaign, he has appeared in 13 of Nürnberg’s 15 league games and provided one assist.
During his time with Hoffenheim, he has made 21 appearances in all competitions.
