2. Bundesliga: Magdeburg Dominates Braunschweig

Magdeburg defeated Eintracht Braunschweig 3-0 away from home at the Eintracht-Stadion, extending their revival under manager Petrik Sander.

Mateusz Żukowski and Baris Atik continued their impressive runs of form as Magdeburg dominated proceedings. They took the lead four minutes before half-time when Atik’s curling effort was parried, and the rebound fell to Żukowski, who tapped in to extend his scoring streak to three consecutive matches.

After the break, Magdeburg picked up where they left off. Moments after the restart, Żukowski released Noah Pesch through on the right; Pesch’s shot was deflected over the bar by a last-ditch intervention.

Eleven minutes from time, Atik cut inside from the left and curled a composed finish beyond the goalkeeper to double the visitors’ lead.

The result was completed in the 90th minute when Maximilian Breunig struck from inside the area to make it 3-0.

The win keeps Magdeburg unbeaten in four matches, lifting them temporarily to 13th in the table, while Braunschweig suffer their first defeat in four games and drop to 16th place.
