Holstein Kiel is reportedly interested in acquiring Jonas Meffert from Hamburger SV, as indicated by a recent update.
According to the report, Olaf Rebbe is actively pursuing the transfer for the upcoming January window, although a verbal agreement has not yet been reached.
The 31-year-old midfielder's contract with Hamburger SV is set to expire at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Meffert has appeared in only seven matches for Hamburger SV across all competitions this season, mostly coming off the bench.
With a total of just 331 minutes played, a move to the 2. Bundesliga outfit, which is currently positioned eleventh in the league, appears to be a logical step.
Prior to his time at Hamburger SV, Meffert played for Kiel from 2018 to 2021 after transferring from SC Freiburg's U-23 team.
