The 26-year-old defender, Diogo Leite, has been linked with a potential transfer to La Liga and FC Barcelona.
According to reports, Leite, currently with 1. FC Union Berlin, is being considered by Barcelona following a severe injury to Andreas Christensen, which has prompted the Catalan club to seek a quick replacement.
Leite's contract with Union Berlin is set to expire next summer, and he has been mentioned as a candidate for a winter transfer this January.
While the Portuguese centre-half meets Barcelona's desired profile, he is not regarded as their top priority.
Union Berlin has reportedly placed a price tag of €10 million on Leite, who has also attracted interest from other clubs, including Fenerbahçe and Fiorentina.
Other potential candidates for Barcelona include Borussia Dortmund's Nico Schlotterbeck and Marc Guéhi, who is a target for Bayern Munich, although acquiring them may prove more challenging in the near term.
Additional names listed as possibilities for Barcelona's defensive needs include Nicolás Otamendi (Benfica), Stefan de Vrij (Inter Milan), Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth), Diego Llorente (Real Betis), Luiz Felipe (Rayo Vallecano), and Juan Foyth (Villarreal).
