Borussia Mönchengladbach will seek their first victory of the Bundesliga season when they host Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Interim manager Eugen Polanski is preparing for his first home game after taking over following Gerardo Seoane’s dismissal earlier this month. Polanski nearly began his tenure with a win but saw a last-minute goal from substitute Haris Tabaković secure a 1-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.
This goal marked Gladbach's first in the league this season, but they remain in 17th place on the Bundesliga table. The team has not won in their last 11 matches, dating back to March, and is on the verge of matching the club's longest winless streak in its Bundesliga history.
Gladbach's chances may be hindered by their historical struggles against Frankfurt, having not won in their previous eight league meetings with them (4 draws, 4 losses). The last victory over Frankfurt came with a 4-0 win in April 2021.

Frankfurt has yet to keep a clean sheet this season but is the second-highest scoring team in the league, tallying 11 goals in their first four matches, along with five goals in a recent Champions League victory over Galatasaray.
In terms of injuries, Frankfurt will be without Jessic Ngankam and Rasmus Kristensen, and Nnamdi Collins will require assessment before the match.
