L’Equipe reports that Hoffenheim is on the verge of signing Østigård permanently after he initially joined Stade Rennais for €7 million. The player, who is a Scudetto winner with Napoli, has spent just six months at his current club.
Despite playing in only 11 games, Østigård made a notable impact in the Bundesliga, contributing to Hoffenheim's efforts to avoid relegation. His performance has been deemed satisfactory by the Sinsheim club, although he did receive a red card during a home game against Leipzig.
