Champions League Final: Former Bundesliga Players Compete for UCL Title

Inter and PSG are set to compete for the prestigious Champions League title at the Allianz Arena, marking a significant event in European football. This match will feature several former Bundesliga players from both teams.

PSG aims to become only the second French club to win the Champions League, having previously reached the final in the 2019-20 season, where they lost to Bayern Munich. Notable players from PSG, such as Achraf Hakimi and Ousmane Dembélé, have made their mark in the Bundesliga, particularly with Borussia Dortmund, and are expected to play key roles in the upcoming match.

Hakimi nearly achieved 30 goal contributions during his two-season loan in the Bundesliga, while Dembélé was pivotal in Dortmund's DFB Pokal victory eight years ago. Willian Pacho, who played the most minutes in the competition during his debut season, will not trigger any bonus payments for Eintracht Frankfurt if PSG wins, according to reports.

In contrast, Inter's last Champions League victory came in 2010 when they defeated Bayern Munich, a team they eliminated this season to reach the final. Inter's connection to the Bundesliga is highlighted by their goalkeepers, with Yann Sommer being a notable figure after his successful tenure at Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Sommer was awarded "Man of the Match" in a crucial semi-final against Barcelona. Benjamin Pavard, who also played for Stuttgart, contributed significantly to Inter's success against Bayern in the quarter-finals and is expected to be fit for the final. He may start ahead of Yann Bisseck.

Inter's midfield will likely feature two former Bundesliga stars: Hakan Çalhanoğlu, known for his set-piece skills, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who had a standout season with Dortmund. Marko Arnautovic, another player with Bundesliga experience, joins Marcus Thuram and captain Lautaro Martinez in leading the team.
