In an interview with Sky, Dutch international Xavi Simons has not dismissed the possibility of leaving Bundesliga club RB Leipzig this summer.
Simons, who missed Leipzig's recent 1-1 draw against Kiel due to a suspension from receiving his fifth yellow card, spoke to Sky before the match at the RedBull Arena. He expressed his ambitions, stating, “I’m still a young player, I have many dreams – and the club knows that.” He emphasized the importance of focusing on upcoming games before discussing his future.
Having signed permanently with Leipzig prior to the conclusion of his two-year loan, Simons' contract is set to last until 2027. Reports indicate that clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool are interested in acquiring him. Leipzig may consider a summer transfer for a fee of €80 million.
