Bayer Leverkusen and Jonas Hofmann have reportedly agreed to part ways this summer, with the player's agent seeking a new club.
Hofmann played a significant role in Bayer Leverkusen's double-winning campaign, particularly in the first half of the season. However, he has since fallen down the pecking order, participating in only 12 games and totaling 540 minutes across all competitions, with minimal appearances since the start of the year.
As a result, both the club and the player have reportedly decided to part ways at the end of the season. Hofmann's agent, Marco Gutfleisch, is actively looking for a new club for the 32-year-old midfielder.
According to reports, Bayer Leverkusen's managing director for sport, Simon Rolfes, and Hofmann's agent reached this decision during a meeting last Friday.
Hofmann joined Leverkusen from Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of €10 million.
