Max Eberl has denied a report claiming that Bayern Munich has reached an agreement for a contract extension with winger Leroy Sané.
According to a recent podcast episode of ‘Bayern Insider,’ it was suggested that Bayern Munich had finalized a deal to extend Sané’s expiring contract.
However, following the club's 3-0 victory over Mainz, Bayern's board member for sport, Max Eberl, refuted these claims. “What’s being reported isn’t true,” he stated in an interview with Ran.
He clarified, “We haven’t reached an agreement, and no contract has been signed. But it’s no secret that we’re in talks. We’ll see what happens.”
Sané’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season. The 29-year-old winger scored his tenth league goal of the season during the match against Mainz.
