Caci's Availability Poses Significant Decision for Henriksen Before Frankfurt Match

Die Nullfunfer's are concerned about the fitness of Anthony Caci ahead of a crucial Matchday 32 fixture.

Concerns regarding a potential serious injury to Caci, sustained over the weekend, have been alleviated with the diagnosis of a sprained ankle; however, he remains in a race to recover.

Head coach Bo Henriksen had to substitute Caci in the 28th minute during the team's 3-0 loss to Bayern Munich.

If Caci is unable to participate in the upcoming match against Eintracht Frankfurt this Sunday, Henriksen will have two primary alternatives for his position.

Nikolas Veratschnig, who replaced Caci in the last match, is noted for his attacking capabilities, averaging 0.80 assists and 1.5 shots per 90 minutes, along with impressive speed.

Alternatively, veteran defender Silvan Widmer may be considered for his greater defensive reliability, reflected in his 46.2% tackle success rate.

The outcome of the Rhine-Main derby against Frankfurt holds significant implications for the Bundesliga race for European football.

A victory for Frankfurt would likely secure their position in the Champions League, while a win for Mainz could allow them to contend for a Europa League spot, depending on other match results.
