Leverkusen Striker Joins Nürnberg in Latest Move

Leverkusen's striker talent Artem Stepanov will join Nürnberg on a one-year loan for the upcoming season.

Nürnberg coach Miroslav Klose will welcome Stepanov as the club seeks to enhance its attacking options. The loan deal is part of Nürnberg's strategy, having previously benefited from successful loan arrangements.

In recent history, Nürnberg's effective use of loan players has been notable. They acquired Stefanos Tzimas on loan from PAOK Saloniki, later purchasing him for a record fee of €18 million and subsequently selling him to a Premier League club for €25 million, achieving a net profit of €7 million.

While Tzimas excelled during his time at Nürnberg, the club is now looking to Stepanov to fill the void, although this loan does not include an option for a permanent transfer.

The 17-year-old Ukrainian has made two appearances for Leverkusen this season but has primarily played for their U19 team, where he has scored 21 goals in 24 games.
