Eintracht Confirms Hauge's Return and Promises Upcoming Decision on Norwegian's Future

Eintracht Frankfurt has released a statement regarding the return of Norwegian attacker Jens Petter Hauge.

Hauge, who represented Bødo/Glimt in the Conference League playoffs in August, has returned to his parent club on New Year's Day after a loan spell.

Recent rumors suggesting that FK Bødo/Glimt had exercised a purchase clause in Hauge's loan agreement have been deemed false. The 25-year-old remains under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until the end of next season, having scored two Bundesliga goals in 36 appearances.

The future of Hauge within Dino Toppmöller's team is uncertain. Hauge, a player with 11 international caps, previously won the Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt. However, he was loaned out to refine his skills, following struggles during his time in Belgium that rendered him less favorable at the club.

In their statement on New Year's Day, Eintracht confirmed Hauge's return and mentioned that a decision regarding his future would be made in "the coming weeks." Hauge's successful tenure in Norway has seen his market value rise from €2.5 million to €4.5 million over the past year. He recorded five assists in 17 appearances for Frankfurt across all competitions during the first half of the 2023/24 campaign.
