Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has indicated that Harry Kane's recovery from injury is progressing positively.
During a press conference on Friday, Kompany stated, "Things are looking good," while discussing the status of Kane's return.
He added, "I don't want to give a timeline and put our medical team under pressure. It could well be that he plays again this year. But everything needs to go perfectly."
Kane sustained a minor muscle injury during last week's 1-1 draw with Borussia Dortmund and did not participate in Bayern's 0-1 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB-Pokal.
He resumed running training on Thursday and completed a separate 20-minute session on Friday.
Reports indicate that Kane will miss the upcoming match against Heidenheim on Saturday, as well as the Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday. However, a potential return against Mainz next week remains possible contingent on his recovery progress.
