Freiburg's Weißhaupt Chooses Loan Move to St. Pauli

Germany's preeminent footballing publication reports that SC Freiburg's Noah Weißhaupt has opted to join St. Pauli on loan.

Interest from two top-tier sides in little-utilized SC Freiburg winger Noah Weißhaupt has reportedly concluded with the 23-year-old making a firm decision in favor of Hamburg's FC St. Pauli shortly before the winter break. This was reported by German footballing journalist Sebastian Wolff.

Weißhaupt will join fellow Freiburg professional Robert Wagner, who is also spending the season on loan with the Kiezkicker. Unfortunately, a structural injury has prevented Wagner from showcasing his skills under coach Alexander Blessin.

St. Pauli and the Bundesliga's other newly promoted side, Holstein Kiel, are currently engaged in the relegation race, despite entering the winter break with wins in their respective final fixtures of the 2024 league season. Kiel has been proactive in acquiring reinforcements, signing defender David Zec today.
