Bayern Munich is reportedly nearing an agreement to extend Manuel Neuer's contract, which is set to expire at the end of the current season.
According to Kicker, only minor details remain to be finalized in the discussions between Neuer and the club, with an announcement of a one-year extension until 2026 anticipated before the year's end.
Neuer, 38, has been recognized as one of the top goalkeepers globally since joining Bayern from Schalke 04 in 2011.
However, his inconsistent performances this season have led to discussions regarding his status as Bayern's first-choice goalkeeper.
Recently, Neuer received a red card in the first half of Bayern's 1-0 DFB-Pokal defeat to Bayer Leverkusen and subsequently missed a 4-2 victory over Heidenheim due to a rib injury.
