Leipzig Enters Competition with Eintracht for Hoffenheim Talent

RB Leipzig has reportedly joined Eintracht Frankfurt in their pursuit of Hoffenheim's Tom Bischof, according to Kicker.

Bischof has emerged as a standout player for TSG Hoffenheim this season, securing a position in the starting line-up as a central midfielder.

His impressive performances have attracted interest from other clubs, with Eintracht Frankfurt already monitoring his progress.

Recent reports indicate that RB Leipzig has also begun to track the 19-year-old German youth international, having initially shown interest three years ago when Bischof opted to remain with Hoffenheim.

Bischof's current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, making him available for a free transfer. However, Hoffenheim is eager to extend his contract, as emphasized by managing director for sport Andreas Schicker.

In a recent interview, Bischof commented on his situation, stating, "I enjoy playing football and I am completely focused on that. Of course there are talks in the background, but my agent and my parents are taking care of that."

For the time being, Bischof appears to be waiting to see how developments unfold at Hoffenheim under new coach Christian Ilzer, who secured a 4-3 victory over RB Leipzig in his first match in charge, with Bischof contributing to the scoreline.
