Junior Adamu has received a three-match suspension following his red card in a recent match against Borussia Dortmund.
The German Football Association confirmed on Monday that the SC Freiburg striker will be unavailable for the team's next three Bundesliga games.
Adamu, who was substituted into the match, received a straight red card during stoppage time for an infraction involving Waldemar Anton.
As a result of the ban, Adamu will not be eligible to play in the league until December 21, when Freiburg faces Bayer Leverkusen.
However, the suspension does not extend to the DFB-Pokal, allowing him to participate in the match against Armina Bielefeld on December 3.
