Celtic Player Expresses Ambition to Represent Germany in the 2026 World Cup

Nicolas Kühn has expressed his aspiration to play for Germany in the upcoming 2026 World Cup. The 24-year-old winger, currently making an impact with Celtic, has recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 17 matches this season.

Kühn emphasized that representing his country remains one of his primary objectives. However, he has not yet had communication with Germany's national coach, Julian Nagelsmann.

"Not yet, unfortunately. Every boy who plays football dreams of one day playing for the national team. I've often said that the German national team is my dream goal," Kühn stated in an interview.

The player reflected on his journey, noting that despite challenging times with Erzgebirge Aue, he committed to achieving his goal of playing in the Champions League, which he has since accomplished. He aims to replicate this success with the national team.

"I know I have the quality to play for the national team and I make no secret of the fact that my dream is to play at the 2026 World Cup in the United States. But there's no other way than to continue to work hard, score goals and provide assists. The rest will take care of itself," he added.

Kühn has previously represented Germany at various youth levels, but has yet to play for the under-21 team.
