According to Fichajes, Arsenal may make an unexpected move to acquire Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran during the January transfer window. The Gunners were expected to sign a center-forward in the summer but ultimately did not add any new players. While Kai Havertz has performed well as the primary striker this season, Arsenal requires a player who can provide strong competition in the attack. Gabriel Jesus has struggled in the number nine position, and Fichajes suggests that Arsenal might invest significantly in a striker this winter. Duran has become a key target due to his impressive performance for Villa, scoring seven goals in 12 competitive matches. Although the 20-year-old has mostly played as a backup to Ollie Watkins, he has excelled when coming off the bench. Villa recently secured him with a new long-term contract, but reports indicate they might be willing to sell him for £75 million this winter.
