Vincent Kompany compared Michael Olise to Kevin De Bruyne, highlighting Olise’s quality and mentality as a standout figure for Bayern Munich since his 2024 move from Crystal Palace.
At a press conference, Kompany praised Olise’s mindset, noting his attention to detail and occasional frustration when things don’t go perfectly, while stressing the challenge and responsibility of coaching a player who operates at a high level.
Kompany said he has long seen likenesses to De Bruyne in Olise, citing his shooting and dribbling with both feet and suggesting Olise can continue to develop and further improve Bayern’s performance.
The 24-year-old Olise has amassed 16 goals and 27 assists in 39 appearances for Bayern this season.
