Spurs Relieve Igor Tudor of Duties After Seven-Game Premier League Slide

Tottenham has parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor by mutual consent after seven games in charge as the team fights to avoid relegation in the Premier League.

Tudor won only one of those seven matches, leaving the club outside the Champions League positions and hovering just one point above the relegation zone.

Tudor did not face the media after last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest, having learned of his father’s death just after the game.

The club confirmed the departure, noting the bereavement suffered by Tudor and promising to provide an update on a new head coach in due course.

Tottenham are not in action again for two weeks, traveling to Sunderland.

Robberto de Zerbi has been linked with the job, with some reports suggesting the club could consider Sean Dyche’s Premier League experience to guide them through the final seven games of the season.

Tudor, appointed in February after the dismissal of his predecessor, was unable to halt Tottenham’s slide toward relegation, including a 3-2 Europa League last-16 win that was not enough to overturn a 5-2 first-leg deficit against Atletico Madrid.

In the league, he collected a single point from five matches, including a 4-1 defeat to Arsenal and losses to Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Forest.

Former players and pundits criticized ownership and management decisions, emphasizing accountability and the need for stability as the club faces a critical seven-match period.

Tottenham have endured injuries and a decline from their recent status as Champions League regulars, highlighting concerns about the club’s direction amid mounting pressure to climb the table.
