A Belgian youth international has been loaned from RB Leipzig to Red Bull New York until June 2026, as part of a temporary move to gain first-team experience in MLS.
The 19-year-old left-back will continue his development by competing in a higher level of professional football, with the loan designed to accelerate his growth while he remains under RB Leipzig's ownership.
The player joined RB Leipzig from KRC Genk's U-18 setup on a free transfer to the club's U-17 academy in early 2023. He has made 56 appearances for RB Leipzig's youth teams, contributing 10 goals and 8 assists in that period.
In February 2025, he earned a professional contract, and he made his first-team debut in December against 1. FC Union Berlin.
RB Leipzig’s managing director of sport stated that the loan offers a valuable opportunity for the player to mature at a high level in a new league, and that the development path in MLS could benefit his progression while keeping ties to Leipzig.
